ENTJ / Taurus
Who is a Commander (ENTJ)?
Commanders are individuals with the Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging personality traits. They tend to be charismatic, direct, and analytical people who prefer to focus on the bigger picture. Being natural born leaders, commanders are often perceived as assertive and uninhibited people who won't hesitate expressing their opinion.
These people are often one of the most reliable and dependable personality combos. They value their sense of security and stability, and they lay down the foundations. They will always search for stability in both their choices and the people they associate with. They’re generally quite stubborn in a lot of areas in their lives - they have a strong dislike for change, and once they settle down with their routines, it can take a great effort to get them to change. They are not just stubborn, but also strong willed. They tend to stick to their guns and be very methodical about their approach to actions. Many Commander/Taurus are full of integrity. Their determination and diligence is also the reason that many find success - they are hard workers that don’t mind getting their hands dirty, and always see that what they set out to do is completed.
They are very forceful, decisive individuals. They make decisions quickly, and are quick to verbalize their opinions and decisions to the rest of the world. The Commander/Taurus who has not developed their Intuition will make decisions too hastily, without understanding all of the issues and possible solutions. On the other hand, if they have not developed their Thinking side, they will have difficulty applying logic to their insights, and will often make poor decisions. In that case, they may have brilliant ideas and insight into situations, but they may have little skill at determining how to act upon their understanding, or their actions may be inconsistent. A Commander/Taurus who has developed in a generally less than ideal way may become dictatorial and abrasive - intrusively giving orders and direction without a sound reason for doing so, and without consideration for the people involved.
They fall in love one step at a time. They have very strong feelings. When they do fall in love, things get serious relatively quickly and last for a long time. They usually know their own minds and are more likely to fall in love because it feels right rather than because of an arbitrary “they’re cute” reason. Their love life is rooted in a foundation of appreciation and reverence. Taurus are very aware of the people they love, and they very much enjoy reflecting on them. They don’t say “I love you” often, because they would rather show you. It is not easy for them to leave someone they love. They won’t leave easily and instead try to work things out the best they can. They value growth and learning. They relentlessly pursue opportunities to improve themselves and the way they think and act. This is a great trait for professional development, which makes them often high earners in their industry. However, in a relationship, their desire for growth means that their partners have to ‘catch up’ or get left behind. Indeed, these people have been known to leave partners whom they feel do not match their level of intellectual ability or competence.
Commander/Taurus see inefficiency not just as a problem in its own right, but as something that pulls time and energy away from all their future goals, an elaborate sabotage consisting of irrationality and laziness. People with this personality combo will root out such behavior wherever they go. Rather than finding this process taxing they are energized by it, genuinely enjoying leading their teams forward as they implement their plans and goals. They trust their abilities, make known their opinions, and believe in their capacities as leaders. Nor do they give up when the going gets tough. They strive to achieve their goals, but really nothing is quite as satisfying to them as rising to the challenge of each obstacle in their run to the finish line.
